SoundBite is one of the Omaha area’s newest rock, cover bands playing a set list that emphasizes newer material. While the band does play a healthy dose of your familiar favorites it also includes songs from lesser known artists, ‘B sides’ from popular bands and songs that’ll have you thinking…’Hey, I haven’t heard that one in awhile’.

The band was originally formed in May of 2005 by Chuck & Steve under the name 4 Alarm Chili. The two had played in bands together in high school but had gone their separate ways after graduation. Steve played in several bands over the years but Chuck had essentially hung up his sticks to pursue family and career. Not until Chuck purchased a starter drumkit for his son did he rediscover his love for playing and performing.

After several personnel changes due to changing family priorities Bridget (lead vocals), Tony (rhythm guitar) and Jim (bass) have rounded out the line-up. What was originally intended as a 4-piece with a male vocalist was now a 5-piece with a female singing lead. Who would’ve guessed…?

Needless to say we’re pleased with the combination of talents and are more than ready to quit ‘scrimmaging’ and get on the playing field. Come on out and party with us, we’ll guarantee you’ll have a great time. (information from http://www.soundbiterocks.com)

Favorite Drinks: Scotch, SoCo, Budweiser Background: Born in South-Central Omaha, James “mastered” his craft while begging the streets of Ralston. He forged his first four-string out of a 2” x 4”, a pickle bucket, and rubber bands. James rose to “fame” after being noticed by the bass player from The Urge, who introduced him to the guys in 311, who thought he was too young and referred him to Menudo, who didn’t need a bass player, and sent him to Metallica, who had a bass player with hair, shipped him to Kid Rock, who thought he was too pretty to play with him, jumped a plane back to Omaha where he found his calling.
