The Fishheads are a regionally-touring entertainment extravaganza!!! Sixteen years ago, five Omaha-based musicians launched an experiment unlike anything the world had ever seen. Billing themselves as “The Island Party Alternative Band,” The Fishheads breathed new life into the Midwestern entertainment scene with their unique blend of music, comedy and mayhem, and the party keeps getting bigger!! Each year finds the group busier, playing more shows for more people in an ever-expanding area. What’s at the heart of their success story? “The focus is on the fun,” says guitarist Steve Eisenberg. “People naturally want to cut loose and have a good time, and that’s something we do better than anyone else out there.” This is easy to see whenever the group starts playing their “Fishhead-ized” versions of reggae, ska, modern rock and oldies tunes. Whether it’s a corporate affair, outdoor festival or a riverboat cruise, the party atmosphere the Fishheads create at each and every show pulls the whole audience into the fun, leaving them wanting more at the end of the night.
